The summary of the movie is basically a Foreign Service Officer in London that tries to prevent a terrorist attack set to hit New York, but is forced to go on the run when she is framed for crimes she did not commit.

The visa is issued by a US Embassy or Consulate. A visa designate the holder to travel to the United States and apply for admission; it does not guarantee entry.  An immigration inspector at the port of entry determines the visa holder's eligibility for admission into the United States.

2. But who needs a Visa to the US?

Anyone who is not eligible to enter the United States visa free under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), or is not exempt from the visa requirement. Also note that travellers born in the United States and those who hold dual citizenship with the US must enter and depart the United States on US passports.

3. And what types of Visas are available?

Nonimmigrant: A Nonimmigrant visa is required by anyone seeking temporary admission into the United States who is not eligible to travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program, or is exempt from the visa requirement. Nonimmigrant visas cover visits for tourism, business, work or study.

Immigrant: An immigrant visa is required by anyone seeking to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States.  Upon entry into the United States, an immigrant visa holder is processed for a Permanent Resident Card (PRC) commonly known as a green card.

After that, is also mentioned Fraud Warning and the implications. Visa applicants are advised to be prudent in all affairs with companies that allegate to offer any assistance in obtaining US visas. There are many websites which attempt to mislead customers and members of the public into thinking they are official US government websites.

By the way the views of London and New York are a must see in the movie.
