Eurostar To Cut Trains From London To Disneyland Paris

Hopping on the Eurostar on the way to Disneyland Paris will be a treasured memory for many British holidaymakers as the international rail service will no longer run direct trains to this popular tourist destination.

The Channel Tunnel high-speed passenger train operator will abandon the route from 05 June 2023.

Journeys from London to Marne-la-Vallée station for Disneyland Paris take less than three hours. Eurostar runs directly to the park during popular times including school holidays and bank holidays.

Fallout Due To Brexit And COVID-19

Eurostar pinned the blame on the difficult economic circumstances alongside the logistical implications of Brexit and stated it was concentrating on the core cities it serves in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

More complex rules are due to come in for visitors to the European Union in 2023. The new Entry-Exit System (EES) involves a new database for registering travellers from outside the EU and Schengen area as they arrive and depart.

“We have taken the decision not to run the direct Disney service … in summer 2023,”

“While we continue to recover financially from the pandemic and monitor developments in the proposed EU entry-exit system, we need to focus on our core routes to ensure we can continue to provide the high level of service and experience that our customers rightly expect.”

The London to Disneyland Paris connection has been running since 1996, just two years after the European rail network was launched.
