Interest In Travelling To France Soars Ahead Of The Olympics
As the world gears up for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, travel data shows that interest in travelling to France is on the rise ahead of the 2024 Olympics.
Paris, already a top destination for tourists all around the world, has seen a notable increase in travel demand since the release of Olympic tickets in November 2023.
Scheduled from July 26th to August 11th, 2024, the Olympics is said to be the largest event ever organised in France and the hotels are braced for soaring bookings.
While international travellers are flocking to Paris for the Olympics, Parisians are finding solace by visiting hotels elsewhere in France.
Digital marketing platform Sojern released its latest travel data associated with the games and highlights that flight bookings to Paris during the Olympic period have surged by an impressive 125% compared to the previous year, indicating a substantial influx of visitors.
According to the report, visitors from the US, Canada, the UK, Japan and Spain are also heavily booking trips to the Olympics this year.
Schengen Visa to Attend the 2024 Olympics
Travellers from non-EU countries who are planning to enter France to attend the 2024 Olympics and require a Schengen visa are advised to initiate the visa application process now.
While the latest visa application can be filed 15 working days before the intended date of entry into the Schengen Area at the latest, Considering the increased interest in booking appointments and the processing time, it is highly recommended that the application is started as early as possible.
The earliest visa applications can be made six months before entering France and the Schengen Area in general, which means that this is the perfect time to take care of this requirement to avoid any last-minute inconveniences.
