Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa Is Now Open
Spanish authorities have confirmed that applications for Digital Nomad visas are officially open for dedicated globetrotting digital nomads.
Spain’s digital nomad visa will provide low-tax status to non-EU nationals for a year, with the option of extending their stay.
The Spanish parliament formally passed the program in November then Congress approved it at the end of December and finally, those who qualify can now apply at their local consulate or embassy.
“Spain has been one of the most popular countries during the pandemic for digital workers,” said
“That is thanks to our quality of life, our climate, the quality of our public services. And I think we can convert that into a competitive advantage.”
Carme Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitalisation And Artificial Intelligence.
