Cyprus To Relax Travel Restrictions To Boost UK Tourist
Cyprus has operated strict coronavirus policies at its borders and on the ground throughout the pandemic but is now planning to gradually ease restrictions.
The popular tourist spot will make it easier for unvaccinated UK travellers to visit alongside abolishing an outdoor face mask mandate.
Currently, unvaccinated travellers from the UK are required to take a PCR test within 72 hours before travelling or a rapid lateral flow 24 hours before as well as a PCR test upon arrival in Cyprus.
They must isolate themselves until they get the results.
However, from April 18, the rules will change to allow unvaccinated tourists to enter with just a negative test.
To be considered fully vaccinated, individuals aged 18 and over must have received their booster shot if more than 270 days have passed since their last dose of the primary vaccine course.
