Vietnam is setting ambitious goals to attract 22 million international tourists in 2025.
The country is investing heavily in infrastructure, creating exciting events, and developing new tourism products to ensure an unforgettable experience for visitors. With its visa waiver program and ongoing efforts to improve the tourism industry, Vietnam is poised to be a top travel destination in 2025.
Vietnam's tourism industry thrives on a strong domestic market, welcoming over 110 million domestic tourists in 2024 and aiming for 120 million in the coming year. While China remains a key international market, alongside the US, Japan, Malaysia, and Australia, European tourism is growing, with the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain leading the arrivals.
While Vietnam has eased visa restrictions for 11 European countries, the Schengen Area has shown limited progress in simplifying travel requirements for Vietnamese citizens. Obtaining a Schengen Visa remains a time-consuming and costly process
