Documents Required for Fiancés Applying for Entry Clearance
Documents Request List – UK Fiancé Visa Entry Clearance Application
Documents Required
Please find below the documents request list that will be needed for your application for a visa to enter the UK as a fiancé of a British or Settled person. There are also forms that need completing.
For your application, we will only be using scanned copies of your original documentation. It should be noted that the Home Office will only accept original documents. If no original is available, photocopied documents must be stamped and certified true copy of the original.
All documents that are with the applicant should be gathered and then scanned and emailed to us, so that I can check that they meet the requirements.
Effectively, one bundle of documents will be gathered in the UK (if any) and one with the applicant. If there are original documents in the UK, they will need to be couriered to the applicant (we can arrange or you can arrange this) to be put together before submission to the Applicant's local submission centre, where they will provide their biometrics.
The Applicant will then add your original application documents to the originals that couriered from the UK. Once the Applicant confirms that the application pack is in the order that has been specified below, they can then be directed to the nearest submission centre in order to submit the application.
Where a document is not in English or Welsh, the original must be accompanied by a fully certified translation by a professional translator. This translation must include details of the translator’s credentials and confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original document. It must also be dated and include the original signature of the translator. These original documents should be scanned and sent to us for verification.
Please note that the documents listed are carefully explained whether they are mandatory or optional. You should collect as many documents as possible and use it as a checklist to ensure all documents where possible have been sent as soon as possible. Where you are unable to provide the original documents, please explain the reasons by adding your comments.
The documents we will require from you are as follows:
