Travel to Japan Made Easy with the New eVISA System
Japan has launched a new eVISA system, allowing nationals and residents from several countries to apply for short-term tourism visas online. This initiative aims to streamline the visa application process, making it more convenient for travellers and boosting tourism.
Effective July 23, foreign nationals from eligible countries can apply for their visas online through the JAPAN eVISA system.
This system is designed to be user-friendly, guiding applicants through a simple process:
- Online Application: Fill out the online form available on official government portals.
- Payment: Pay the required visa fees electronically.
- Approval: Wait for the eVISA approval, which will be sent via email.
The eVISA allows for single-entry stays of up to 90 days, accommodating tourists, business travellers, and those visiting family or on other short-term visits.
