Brazil’s Digital Nomad Visa
The idea of packing a bag and moving to the other side of the world is very tempting, especially after travel restrictions brought on by the pandemic.
Different countries invite remote workers to visit their shores with special digital nomad visas that allow longer stays than the typical 90-day tourist visa.
If you're able to work from anywhere in the world with just your laptop and internet connection then you should consider doing so from Brazil. This beautiful country has a thriving digital nomad community and plenty of things to see and do.
Brazil's digital nomad visa is called Temporary Visa VITEM XIV, and interested remote workers can apply for it at any Brazilian consulate.
The visa costs around €97 (£84) on average, though it can vary, and lasts for one year, but can be extended for a second. During that time, you can leave the country and come back.

Living In Brazil
Although Brazil isn't the cheapest country in the world, or in South America. However, the cost of living in Brazil is much lower than in European countries.
Brazil is making it even more enticing to choose its shores as your next travel destination as the country aims to build a whole village dedicated to remote workers. It’s the first one of its kind in South America.
The village will be created by the Lisbon-based start-up NomadX, who have named the project ‘Nomad Village Brazil'. The village will offer a range of accommodation options and facilities for digital nomads. Based in Brazil’s northeastern state of Rio Grande do Norte, the project will run from 1 Nov 2022 to at least 30 Apr 2023.
