Short-Term Rentals:
- Peak season (April–October): A dramatic rise from €1.50 to €8 per night.
- Off-peak (November–March): From €0.50 to €2 per night.
Hotel Stays:
- Summer rates will range from €2 to €15 per night, depending on the hotel’s star rating.
Cruise Ship Visitors:
- Arrivals at hotspots like Santorini and Mykonos: A €20 tax.
- Other destinations: €5 tax.

These changes mark one of the steepest increases in recent years for Greece’s tourism sector.

The financial strain of dealing with extreme weather events has forced Greece to take drastic measures. By doubling its annual revenue from tourist taxes to €400 million, the government aims to fund recovery efforts while preparing for future climate challenges.
