India increase consular services in UK because of high demand on last year.
The Indian High Commission in London will expand its consular services for visa, passport and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) applications to cut waiting time and make the system more user-friendly in the country.
It will be outsourcing with VFS Global, an outsourcing and technology service specialist for diplomatic missions and governments worldwide.
This will start on March 1 and will be launched in 14 centres across the UK.
The new system accompany with the launch of biometric data collection for Indian visas globally as part of the larger IVFRT (Indian Visa and Foreigners Registration and Tracking) Programme.
