Czech Republic Opens to Americans and Other Third-Country Nationals

The government of the Czech Republic has announced that as of 23 August vaccination certificates that have been issued in several third countries, including the US, are now accepted as valid proof of immunity.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, third-country nationals who have been fully vaccinated in a non-European country with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or another equivalent vaccine approved by the World Health Organization are now recognised.

Consequently, upon the recognition of the vaccination certificate, fully vaccinated third-country nationals can enter the Czech Republic without having to follow testing and self-isolation rules.

Travellers are required to fill a Passenger Locator Form before boarding their flight.
