Unlocking the Full Potential of Your Schengen Visa: 3 Non-Schengen Summer Destinations You Can Visit With a Schengen Visa
Getting a Schengen visa to travel to any of the current 27 Schengen Area member states has become a challenge for many, not only due to the absence of slots for visa applications but also due to the high rejection rates.
If you possess a valid Schengen Visa, you may be unaware of the fantastic opportunities it holds beyond the borders of the Schengen Area.
The Schengen visa opens doors to not only the European Union but also several non-Schengen countries. If you were granted a multiple entry visa and longer validity, why limit your journey to only Schengen countries when neighbouring non-Schengen countries beckon with unique wonderful experiences?
Here are the 3 summer destinations you can explore with your Schengen visa.

Albania
Albania has a treasure trove of mysteries for travellers to explore. The country is also one of the cheapest countries in Europe and has a 450 km-long coastline. It is well known for its blend of stunning beaches and breathtaking natural landscapes
Albania has an e-visa that enables travellers to visit the country very easily. An exemption is also in place, allowing people to enter Albania visa-free if they have a valid and at least once used multi-entry visa from Schengen members, the UK or the US, or a 10-year residence permit from UAE.
Montenegro
Montenegro shares a border with Albania, so one could easily visit both countries in one trip.
The country boasts pristine beaches with its coastal towns characterised by narrow streets, charming squares, ancient architecture, sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife.
You can visit the country visa-free if you hold a valid visa from the US, UK, Australia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Ireland, Canada, Japan, New Zealand or Schengen member states.
Mexico
Though quite far away from Europe, Mexico is a worth-visiting destination, in particular for summer-loving travellers, as the country is home to some of the world-famous beaches like Cancún, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, and La Paz.
Mexico permits entry to Schengen visa holders without requiring them to obtain an additional tourist visa.
